Nope no h/w in the default user profile - so it'll work just fine from a h/w
perspective - the only problem I've ever come across is when I've not made
sure the permissions are correct. Open the default profile in the registry
- the default permissions are based on the machine name - change this to
'everyone'.
Also, you'll need a reboot on the other machines for the changes to kick in.

Hi
I am customising the default user profile (c:\documents and settings\default
user) with specific customisations that cannot be easily set using Group
Policy on my Citrix Windows 2003 Servers. I need to copy this customised
default profile to 20 servers. The hardware is dissimilar but all are HP
Intel servers (various models). Is there any hardware specific settings in
the Default User profile? Can I safely copy the profile to all servers or
do I need to create multiple profiles depending on hardware type?
