At an iForum session someone from Citrix hinted at a completely new update
service - they are looking at what Microsoft is doing - but it sounded like
it would be years away.

Unfortunately, this is one of those features in the Citrix suite which is
great idea but got left in an imcomplete state, think of RM and UPD for
example (IMHO). This really ought to be a thoroughly modern tool that allows
you to update any type of client and easily push custom configs out as well.

The point about admin rights is a good one, there also still needs to be a
major development in a true "clientless" mode, whatever that may mean
exactly, in which there are the absolutely minimum dependencies on local
client software installation, admin rights, etc.....
