I seem to have an always recurring problem when installing IBM Client
Access on Citrix / Terminal servers. The program installs just fine
(latest version, PTF's applied) and looks/feels just fine but when more
than say 10-15 users are using it together, it will get slower to a
point where it becomes really annoying (above 25 users). There is a
certain delay in typing that becomes apparent for 'power data entry
people' (those who are used to the speed of client access on their
terminal or pc) and that really bothers them.
the .ws and .kmp files that Client Access uses are usually on a
different file server than the Citrix servers and are called upon from
within the user's sessions. Does anybody know what causes this? Does
anybody have experience with this?
PS: A definitive step in the right direction is Rick Mack's and other's
"maxcmds" solution, frequently discussed in this group. I just would
like to know if there are other optimizations for this program.
