except my Citrix glider immediately turns into a hard nosedive into the
ground. I'm trying to not draw metaphorical conclusions.

I would stay with the Metaframe glider because the control is remote, the
actual flight execution occurs in the air and only the flight controls are
transmitted to the pilot....

Perhaps, you should get the MAC glider, but it will not work with most of
the available wind. Maybe the LINUX glider, where you need to supply your
own wind (or the wind of a trusted friend)? :)

Actually Microsoft's glider HAS wing currently but they do not produce
significant lift and are more ornamental than anything else (this is
supposed to be fixed in Glider 2003 SP1 once they have built the wind tunnel
at Redmond). It's the rear stabilizer that is missing entirely in the
current version that allows the craft to spin out of control whenever you
try to do anything with it.

maybe you need a wing or tail add-on from Tricerat or EOL to get it to work
right
perhaps Bernd could help come up with something to more efficiently utilize
