Rob, I was in conversation (off the list) with Andy Lalaguna and he suggested to go with FR2 upgrade this way: 1. Upgrade DC first 2. Upgrade other farm servers What was happening to me before FR2 was this: I installed FR2 on my test server and entered all my FR2 licenses. Since that a few of my users could not refresh their PN client. Their accounts were OK on Windows side (I could connect to a server through direct ICA connections and was able to log into the network) but in Citrix they were getting "Credentials incorrect" error every time they were trying to refresh PN client. I uninstalled FR2 from that test server and they were good to go. I think that issue was with IMA service and the fact that DC was not a FR2 yet. The other time I installed FR2 on the test server again it was excluded from the farm at all and IMA service failed to start. Discussing that Andy suggested to upgrade all my servers to FR2 (in 1 shot) and if I still have problems set the FR level in the CMC to disarable one. I upgraded them and the only side effect I had (that triggered my first post in this thread) was this poor test server did not accept any ICA connections. Basically JimK answered it all for me. I edited registry and server was back online right away. Pavlo, Don't know about your situation but normally you don't need to reboot = the test this after changing the FR level. rob -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Namens Pavlo Ignatusha Verzonden: maandag 31 maart 2003 15:12 Aan: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Onderwerp: [THIN] Re: Can't connect to a CTX server. I did not try to change FR level as this would probably force me to = reboot to keep the IMA hierarchy in the right order. Every reboot is a pain = cause we run 24/7 operations. Meaning if you set both servers to FR1 or none can you log on? Org (E-mail) Onderwerp: [THIN] Can't connect to a CTX server. The CTX server you have selected is not accepting connections.=3D20 Hi group. I have a bit of a problem with my test server and I believe I'm close = =3D but still can't figure this out. I have a 3 server's XPa farm (2 production servers and 1 test box). I = =3D just updated it to a CTX FR2/SP2 on Wed. Today I can not connect to my test server through the ICA connection to a server's desktop with the =3D = following message: "Can not connect to a Citrix server. The Citrix server you =3D = have selected is not accepting connections."=3D20 Here is the information I gathered so far: I can connect to the server's desktop using RDP client. Both ICA and RDP idle sessions are listening (seen from CMC) I deleted and recreated ICA Connection in CTX Connection Manager ICA connection permissions are same with 2 other servers Recreated LHC =3D Restarted IMA rebooted server Everything looks good in CMC (I see load balancing counters, idle sessions, logged on RDP users, etc. All 3 = servers have FR =3D set to 2 That problem has nothing to do with CMC server properties setting =3D = "Enable logons to this server" as if you disable logons you will at least see server's Metaframe wallpaper and get an eror message "Remote logons are currently disabled". Can somebody point me into the right direction? Other environment information: Win2000 SP2 on Citrix servers, Win2000 AD domain, NT4 BDCs, clients are mostly PN ver.6.20.985=3D20 Any help is very appreciated as I have run out of ideas.
