For the first time in a long time there is water in Shipp Lake (far E. Bastrop Co), at least on the south side. Quite a change from the sea of grass. Today about 25 Black Terns were enjoying the water. The mini-fallout continues - albeit most of the warblers are Yellow and Tennessee - but a couple of singing Blackburnians brightened up my morning in Riverbend Park on the Colorado River.
