Estero Llano Grande State Park Wednesday morning birdwalk had 15 participants 
and a beautiful morning. We had really nice looks at Fulvous Whistling-Ducks, a 
Bufflehead and a Least Tern on Dowitcher Pond. Then a nice variety of egrets 
and herons, including the nesting Green Herons, on Grebe Marsh and Alligator 
Lake. The Levee was quiet except for a Crested Caracara and small flock of 
Yellow-headed Blackbirds. Grasslands showed us an Eastern Kingbird and 
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. While on the deck we had a Least Bittern fly by. The 
Tropical area showed us some of the usual nesting residents and an Eastern 
Screech Owl but no warblers.
