Dear Texbirders, This morning the annual Blucher Park Bird Walks kicked off with a great crowd of 12 birders. The birds themselves were not so cooperative, with only 25 species, but not too bad for very early April. We had Black-chinned and Ruby-throated H'birds, two Chuck-Will's-Widows and a group of about 12-15 Chimney Swifts near the end of the walk. The warblers were Orange-crowned, Black-and-White and Nashville. The walks are sponsored by the Audubon Outdoor Club of Corpus Christi and are held every Saturday and Sunday morning in April (excluding Easter Sunday), beginning at 7:30 and running to about 10:30. Everyone is welcome, so if you are in town in the weekend, come join in the fun.
