There were a few migrants in the High Island Woods this afternoon, will the
weather bring more?
The near shore waters on the Bolivar Peninsula is full of Black Terns probably
feeding in the sargassum. I easily counted hundreds while driving there are
probably thousands. Bolivar Flats had 20-25 avocets they are so full of
hormones they could not stand near each other without arguing. Great Egrets and
Great Blues were catching 6-8in fish while Snowy's picked things out of the
sargassum. Always something to look at.
