Dear Texbirders,
This morning I had 6 adults and 1 juvenile Whooping Crane fly over CR 352
and land in a field just west of CR 352 and north of CR 356. They fed for
some time and as a left a farmer was driving a tractor toward that field. I
came back by around an hour later and they were gone.

Also, had my first flock of longspurs (McCown's) in the megafield west of CR
352. There were about 100.

A Merlin sitting in the megafield eating a bird was nice and there were four
Hooded Mergansers in the small waterway on CR 351 at the megafield.

The only Burrowing Owl was the one in the big concrete pile on CR 356.
