Hello all,
Of local interest was yet again another White-tailed Kite in the Lubbock
area yesterday, 15 November. This subadult kite was at a prarie dog town on
CR 240 near the junction of Hwy. 399 in Garza County. It didn't stick
around long after I arrived and eventually flew off to the NW. I also had
at least one Sprague's Pipit and one Prairie Falcon at the same location.
I hope to see some of you on the special Port Aransas pelagic trip on
Sunday! Until then, good birding!
