Howdy All! I took a short jaunt around the park this morning, a little later than I had planned, and it turned out to be a good idea. There were several Ruby-throated Hummingbirds working the flowers on the Blackjack Nature Trail. A Wilson's Warbler showed up on that same trail. An Acadian Flycatcher and several Pine Warblers were down the Old Road Trail. I am going to try to get out earlier on Friday morning and see what I can find. If you would like to come on out and help, I'm going to start a little after 8am. We'll begin at the front office. Just reply to this email so that I'll know you are coming. This Saturday we are also beginning our Saturday morning bird tours. They begin at 8am at the front office and we'll head into the park from there and find some birds.
