With hummingbird migration well underway (as well as butterflies!), it's the
perfect time to record what you're seeing all around Texas. Participate in the
first ever statewide Texas Pollinator
BioBlitz<https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/bioblitz?utm_campaign=gtwt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery-fall_migration_2016>
(www.tpwd.texas.gov/pollinators), Oct. 7-16! The Texas Pollinator
BioBlitz<https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/bioblitz?utm_campaign=govdelivery-email&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery>
is a statewide effort to observe and identify as many pollinators as possible.
Participants will look for pollinators and nectar-producing plants and post
photos and/or short videos to Instagram (#SaveThePollinators) and/or
iNaturalist (in the Texas Pollinator BioBlitz project:
http://www.inaturalist.org/projects/2016-texas-pollinator-bioblitz).
Sign up to receive daily observation challenges and help bring awareness to
pollinators and their habitat. Join the fun! Contribute to science! The event
is free and designed for all ages and levels of experience.
Thanks,
Shelly
