Sat at the edge of the woods for sunset tonight encourages by Brush's
experiences a few days ago and the rumor of a flushed Whip-or-will by Jim
Hinson earlier in the day.
Sunset was 7:49, 70 degrees F, partly cloudy, light breeze at 5 mph from SE.
7:55 Barred Owl calls once
8:06 Chuck-wills-widow calls for maybe 90 seconds
8:10 Great Horned Owl calls twice
8:13 and 8:17 Whip-or-will gives 6 or 7 repetitions each time
I left at about 8:25.
