spent the last few days birding San Jacinto park and found a few interestng birds Red Breasted Nuthatches, Golden Crowned Kinglets, Ruby Crowned Kinglets are numerous no Red Naped Sapsucker but plenty of Yellow Bellied Sapsuckers a Downy Woodpecker with severely deformed bill which has not affected it's ablity to tap a tree at least 2 Vermilion Flycatchers and I was informed there are 3 at one point I was surrounded by Hermit Thrushes and counted at least 4 and there was probably more for two days there was a 5 bird flock of Black Throated Green Warblers traveling with Pine Warblers, Ruby Crowned Kinglets, an occasional Catbird, and a House Wren one day there were Red Breasted Nuthatches, Golden Crowned and Ruby Crowned Kinglets, Brown Creepers, Pine Warblers, Downy Woodpecker, Yellow Bellied Sapsucker, Black Throated Green Warbler, House Wren in a single tree at the same time yesterday I ID;d a bird I had previously seen but couldn't ID. I heard the call so was alerted and within a few minutes a Great Kiskadee showed up. I missed the photo op but I believe the bird has been in the park for a few days now. This morning I found 2 Mourning Warblers.
