[texbirds] Ruby-crowned Kinglet (!!!), Black-billed Cuckoo @ South Padre

I guess if the merganser is still hanging around, I shouldn't be too
surprised at a kinglet! :-) But we had a great time showing Roger and Jean
from
the UK around ("we" being San Diego birder John Top and myself); they got
great looks at several life birds including Clapper Rail, Least Bittern, and
Wilson's Plover; and I managed to bag several new year birds, bringing the
total up to 300 on the nose! The reported Black-billed Cuckoo was still
around (I'm assuming it's the same bird), and a Purple Gallinule showed up
as well!
