Dell and I birded Richland Creek WMA today. Ed Wetzel, Tim Fennell, and Susan Heath were also there. They saw a few things we did not see. Dell and I estimate that there were 4000+ waders in the north unit between Navarro and Freestone counties with the predominant species being White Ibis (~1500+), Cattle Egret (~1000+), Snowy Egret (~700), Great Egret (~300). There was also a good variety of shorebirds including 400+ Wilson's Phalaropes.
