Another water update: Water was pouring into the resaca yesterday morning,
faster this time, and I wanted to wait until things settled down before
giving another update. Now that it has, the water and duck variety is up
at the South Mexican Olive deck and there should be water at the deck off
of Flycatcher Trail.
Yesterday on the bird walk we had a nice look at the Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker. On Quail loop we found a White-tailed Kite. Olive Sparrows
were active, and Bewick's Wrens were singing in three different areas
(North Mexican Olive near the sapsucker, and along Quail Loop just past the
Screwbean Alley turn as well as the far corner). It was a glorious calm
day to be outdoors.

At the observation/feeding area behind the Visitor Center Green Jays gorge
on suet and fruit. Common Ground Dove can often be found in with the Inca
and White-tipped Dove. Altamira Orioles, Black-crested Titmice, and Olive
Sparrows are regular visitors.
