Good afternoon, all! Happy first day of Spring! It was pretty cloudy and windy this morning, but the sun seems to be peaking through and the singing of the Northern Cardinals can be heard through the gardens and trails! North Pond is definitely active with Northern Shovelers, Blue and Green-winged Teals, Cinommon Teals, Fulvous and Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, Lesser Scaups, American Coots, Least Grebes, Great and Snowy Egrets, Neotropic Cormorants, and the Green Kingfisher whom ocassionaly flys by the overlook making it's way to dragonfly pond, it's favorite spot. The Dragonfly Pond has been active with some warblers, including the Wilson's Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler as well as the Clay-colored Thrush, Great Kiskadee, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and ocassionally has some Snowy Egrets stopping by perhaps searching for an easy meal!
