Hi Graham -

Pollywog Ponds (just off IH 37) this afternoon in the overcast and occasional
drizzle was good, but not outstanding -
More Indigo Buntings than could be reliably counted
15+ Painted Buntings in with them
Lots of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Orchard, Baltimore, and an immature male Bullock's Oriole
Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warblers in the same field of view
Magnolia Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler
B&W Warbler
Lots of Nashville Warblers, and 8 - 10 Tennessee Warblers
Kingbirds galore (Eastern, Couch's, and a few Westerns) with Scissor-tails
Acadian Flycatcher
Swainson's Thrush and Veery
Dozens of Yellow-breasted Chats
Grasshopper Sparrow at the NW corner of the first pond

And a Bobcat along the path.

Subject: [texbirds] RFI- Corpus Christi conditions

If anyone is birding around Corpus Christi, especially Blucher Park or Paradise
Pond this evening a report on conditions would be most appreciated.
Also, would someone who has seen the Chuck-will's-widows at Blucher Park email
me with details on how they are seen?

Thanks!
Graham Floyd,
San Antonio, TX
