Brush, On 27 and 28 September I birded the Sowell Creek Park and a Corp boat ramp opposite the Sowell Creek Park. As you likely know this is the extreme East side of Proctor Lake. Was there less than an hour and not time to bird the entire lake. Likely this is not recent enough for what you may be looking for. Lake levels were such that there could be good shorebirds however. Had good looks at an Osprey, 2 NOSH and 1 RUDU. Plus one of the campers on the Corp side had hummer feeders, which unexpectedly yielded BCHU and RTHU. The balance of the species seen were all common, expected. Lamont Brown Denton and Harlingen Date: Thu, 2 Jan 2014 14:05:11 -0600 Subject: [texbirds] Proctor Lake anyone???
