The Painted Redstart is still flitting around the visitor center at Aransas
NWR. Two Long-tailed Ducks are off the fishing pier section and both Black and
Surf Scoters off Dagger Point. In addition, the Baltimore Oriole is still
being observed in the same area as the Painted Redstart and Winter Wren and
Virginia Rail, Sora and Common Gallinule are being found along Rail Trail.

The two Whooping Cranes are still being observed off and on at Heron Flats
Trail and two Whooping Cranes are being found regularly off the Wildlife Tower,
although they can be quite distant.
