[texbirds] Lesser Black-backed Gull - Lake Somerville

Luanne and I had a Lesser Black-backed Gull at Rocky Creek Park on Lake
Somerville. The bird was seen around 10:30 am on Saturday. Luanne found it on
the island that can be seen from the first boat ramp on the left as you enter
the park. This is in Washington County. Later we saw the same/different bird
at Nails Creek State Park on the west side of the boat ramp in Lee County. We
took photos of the one we saw at Rocky Creek Park. The one in Lee County was
too far.
Side note - we saw American Golden-Plovers (39) in Navasota at the airport/park
(on the soccer fields) on the southwest portion of town. We also saw 11 in
Washington County on FM 2679 at the first pond on the right (that has ducks)
heading north from Hwy 290. We also saw 42 in Burleson County at the Wilcox
Sod-Farms (CR 440)
