I birded the northwest portion of Lake Weatherford this morning. From the north end of East Lake Drive, just south of Hwy 730, there was a good variety of shorebirds: 1 Long-billed Curlew, 1 Greater and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Baird's, 1 Pectoral, 1 Solitary, 2 Spotted and 35 Least Sandpipers, 1 Semipalmated Plover and 30 Killdeer. An Osprey and 10 Black Terns were over the lake near the dam.
