Hummer House, Christoval
We are at The Hummer House and staying in one of their cottages and loving it!
We came last year too and
had to schedule a year in advance to get a date inbetween Spring and Fall
Migration that worked with our
schedule, but I noticed that they have open dates.
We go out before sunup to enjoy the cool temp in the morning and are
comfortable until 1 pm. We then go
back out in the evenings. I'm actually cold in the morning! Anyway, the stars
are the amazing birds they have
and I think Painted Buntings are in close competition to all the hummers.
Make sure you check out Stockpen Crossing in Menard for more amazing birds. We
had a Mississippi Kite
on our way here and there is also a famous cafe named after a grass. Menard is
30 min North of Junction
