I spent a good chunk of the yesterday rambling about Hockley County and,
though things have definitely started to taper off in terms of migrants,

of Pep, 8 Sandhill Cranes over Sundown WTP, 1 Black-necked Stilt at Sundown
WTP, 8 American Avocets at Roundup Playa, 47 Long-billed Curlews at Smyer
Playa, 2 Wilson's Snipes southwest of Pep, 1 Greater Yellowlegs at Roundup
Playa, 1 Greater Yellowlegs southwest of Pep, 6 Lesser Yellowlegs at the
Foster x Hawk Roads Playa, 1 Swainson's Hawk in Smyer, *1 Hammond's
Flycatcher* southwest of Pep, 2 Say's Phoebes in Pep, 1 Eastern Phoebe in
Pep, 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers along FM 2646, 2 Scissor-tailed
Flycatchers west of Ropesville, 2 Bewick's Wrens at Smyer Playa, 1 House

Sparrows in Pep, 1 Northern Cardinal along FM 2646, and 8 Yellow-headed
Blackbirds at Roundup Playa.
The Northern Cardinal was quite the catch: rare in the county and finally -
on the third occasion I have seen the species in the county this year -
photographed!
