Hey there,
This was a female bird, hanging out with Pied-billed Grebes and cormorants on
the NE corner of Lake Benbrook, most easily viewed from the overlook by the dam
building. I had her in view for about five minutes, but then she disappeared.
Others found her again and got more photos I think. You can see my photos and a
video at https://www.flickr.com/photos/131603967@N04/
It may still be around but it moved around a lot apparently.
Also saw a Franklins Gull, lots of Horned Grebes, and a flock of ~30 Cattle
Egrets.
Good birding,
Christian Walker

I just got a call from Christian Walker that he found and has pictures of a
female Black Scoter at Lake Benbroook. He said that he saw it from the
overlook by the dam on the east side of the lake. He also says that it has
disappeared for now, but he is trying to find it again.
