Good afternoon birders,
With the wind and cool temperatures from the cold front, the woods were
rather quiet on the Chachalaca Trail. However, when we started down toward
Pintail Lakes, birding picked up and we got some great close-up looks at
shorebirds, a beautiful Green Kingfisher and the young male Vermillion
Flycatcher. There are always good things to see at Santa Ana - bird walks are
daily at 8:30 am.
