Good afternoon birders,
Had a great group of folks this morning for the bird walk, and though
the conditions were windy, most participants were able to see at least one of
their target birds. We had wonderful looks at both adult and juvenile Altamira
Orioles, and a White-tailed Hawk began the morning with a spectacular fly-over.
A Blue-headed Vireo, Gnatcatchers and a Long-billed Thrasher all appeared as
we moved toward the tower. Everyone worked together to help find the birds.
Daily bird walks at 8:30am - meet at the Visitor's Center.
