A nice start to April this morning at Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary.
Plenty of migrants were making themselves apparent by mid morning. One of
the more amusing sightings this morning was a Tufted Titmouse standing on
the back of a sleeping Raccoon and enthusiastically pulling out a good deal
of fur. Thanks to those birders who made it out this morning, hope to see
more of you next week. More information on the Monday and Wednesday bird
walks can be found on Houston Audubon's website.
Highlights from the morning are below.

Great Crested Flycatcher - 2
White-eyed Vireo - several
Blue-headed Vireo - 2 (one was singing up a storm)

Blue Winged Warbler - 1 male, very vocal
Orange Crowned Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Northern Parula - ~ 4, singing frequently
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black and White Warbler - 2
Black-throated Green Warbler - at least 2, probably more
Wilson's Warbler - at least 3
Hooded Warbler - 3 males
Louisiana Waterthrush - 1

Good Birding,

John Tharp
Houston, TX
