These links don't seem to work and may need some adjustment. House Finch 
color is affected by diet, which makes some males more orange than red.

scarce, but the following were seen at Eaton Hill Nature Center in Sonora

  2 Bewick’s Wrens
  15 Pine Siskin
  1 American Goldfinch (today)

  2 Vermilion Flycatchers (both male and in Schleicher County, along FM 
2596)
  2 Northern Cardinals (a pair)
  1 unidentified raptor taking a soak in one of our water features (possibly 
a juvenile Coopers?  A photo can be found at the link, any help with ID 
would be appreciated.

  17 House Finches (one of which is a pale, but bright orange rather than 
red.  A photo can be found at the link.  Can anyone

  6 Golden-fronted Woodpeckers (Schleicher County)
  2 Male Black-chinned Hummingbirds
  1 Black-crested Titmouse
  White-winged and Mourning dove are also plentiful

  Visiting birders today additionally reported seeing an Ash-throated 
Flycatcher along our hiking trails.
