[texbirds] Common Crane, Monument Lake (Bailey Co.)

Hello all,
The adult Common Crane continues through this afternoon at Monument Lake in SW
Bailey County. After I downloaded the latest GPS transmissions this morning, I
rushed out to verify the whereabouts of our two remaining tagged Sandhills in
the area. Their tags indicated that they roosted on Monument Lake last night.
Given that they often loaf where they roost I went straight to Monument Lake
and within a couple of minutes I laid eyes on the Common Crane. Again, my
estimate was about 6500-7000 Sandhills in this particular flock.
