Greetings All:
Last Thursday (24 September 2015) a local birder photographed a first fall
Black-capped Vireo at Clapp Park in the center of Lubbock. Regrettably, he
didn't realize just how exciting his find was until he went through his
photographs yesterday evening. This is the second record for our region -
the sole previous record from Ransom Lake (also in Lubbock County) within
the last few years.
Even in this slow - oh so very slow - migration some nifty stuff is showing
up.
