TexBirders, Focused on running longer and putting myself in a better spot - Freeport. During a 4.5 hour run (guessimated 27 miles) this morning I tallied 83 species while running (no walking or standing birds allowed) and with no binoculars. Highlights were two bobcats on CR217, 4 Hooded Mergansers, 10 singing Bronzed Cowbirds and 5 species of gulls. Ducks and shorebirds are hard with no binos, but a pretty good morning overall. Not sure I have another level, so my personal record may stay right there.
