Hi TexBirders,
At Bentsen-RGV State Park - birds seen around the HQ gardens include
Great Kiskadee, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Groove-billed Ani, Olive Sparrow,
Lark Sparrow, Clay-colored Thrush, Long-billed Thrasher and Painted
Bunting.
Northern-beardless Tyrannulet is vocal along the main park road just
past the Nature Center and Maintenance Yard. After dark, Common
Pauraque, Lesser & Common Nighthawk, Eastern Screech-Owl and Elf Owl
throughout the park, especially in the Acacia Loop and around the Nature
Center.
