[texbirds] Bar-tailed Godwit

Dear Texbirders,
The Bar-tailed Godwit was reasonably close and giving good looks this morning
on the TAMUCC side of the Oso. From SPID (TX 358) take Ennis Joslin to Ocean
drive, turn right and turn right into the TAMUCC campus at the first traffic
light. Today you can park next to the parking garage, but on weekdays you will
need to park in the garage itself (fee). Walk toward the Oso and take one of
the paths down to the flats. In the evening the light is much better on the
other side of the Oso; see Mel Cooksey's directions in his post last night.
The bird was with a group of Marbled Godwits and was moving around quite a bit.
You will need a scope.
