[texbirds] BTGO rules, getting along with officials

Dear godwit hunters,
While I was enjoying the bird on Wednesday morning and also showing it to
curious passing locals our group was warned by local refuge patrolmen that the
County had received a complaint from local motorist about the hazard the people
were on the road. Since they were in the area, the local sheriff called them to
handle the call. For everyone's sake I hope you will comply with the following.
They were not smiling as they instructed us.
They had some very specific demands:
1. All cars should park on the west side of the road, not both sides.
2. It is a violation of state law to stand on the roadway.
3. It is a violation of federal law to cross the fence.
4. Stay in the right-of way between the pavement and the fence.
Just passing this along for all parties benefit. Please pass this along to
anyone headed that way and if it is appropriate for a web site please post it
there.
