[texbirds] Re: Any word on Austin Fork-tailed Flycatcher?

I was on DG Collins Rd and McKinney Falls SP from about 8:30 until 4:00.
Negative report on the Fork-tailed.
I found the following on DG Collins:
6 Scizzortails
~ 50 Brownheaded Cowbirds
1 Kestrel
2 Merlins
1 Peregrine
2 Redtails
1 Harrier
1 Coopers
1 Sharpie
A few sparrows, mockingbirds, cardinals, Yellow rumps, finches and assorted
others. The Kestrel was periodically spooking the scizzortails, but seemed to
be actively hunting the sparrows.
I saw at least 6 other birders, and the ones I spoke with were all locals. So I
focused on the reported spots, but I also drove a rather large circle and
checked the fields surrounding the areas where it had been seen. Negative
report.
