I only had time to look at the Jackson Woodlot on the refuge today. There were two male Prothonotary Warblers present just after lunch, with a very smart Scarlet Tanager. An hour later, the Scarlet Tanager was still there, and also singles of adult male Orchard Oriole and Tennessee Warbler. Also present was a handful of Bobwhites. A group of Savannah and White-crowned Sparrows made identification "interesting" by sitting at the tops, or near the tops of the trees, eating the freshly opened flowers. Another adult male Orchard Oriole was seen near the Willows.
