The Amazon Kingfisher continued this morning at Zacate Creek. I arrived at the
waterfall around 10 a.m. and watched it for about 5 minutes before it
disappeared. A birder from Arkansas said he saw it around 8 a.m. and watched it
off and on for about an hour.
I stayed at the waterfall until about 12:30 p.m. without seeing it again. I
returned to the waterfall from 2-3:30 p.m., but it was a no show.
I think 7:30-10 a.m and 5 p.m to dusk are the best times to look for it. Good
