It was spoken in jest, though behavior changes coupled with food acquisition
etc over a sufficiently prolonged time result in speciation.

I think the Kroger grackles are evolving towards a valid subspecies.
On the coldest mornings, they go to ground in the lot all vectoring into the
wind. Quite an interesting view.
