The operations manual for my 2003 dodge says that one of the things that can cause the engine light to be on is bad gas. It says that if the engine seems to be running normally and is not overheating to try a different gasoline and if that doesnt fix it to bring it in for service. I had looked it up because that light had come on and went off after a couple of days.
