Subject: [TechAssist] cd problem
Hi Tom!
If your cd shows up in dos and in your boot, and you have a !
mark on
Ide controller singl fifo. I think you may have the NYB boot
sector
virus. I just fixed a computer with the exact same problem
last week.
First run Mcaffee or another virus scan to confirm virus.
Then boot with
a known good boot disk that is write protected. Then type
fdisk/mbr and
your cd will be back. The way you get this virus is by
booting with a
infected boot disk. Good Luck!
