What happens if you advance the G2 screen pot a bit? These are typical 
of the "IK" circuitry blanking the video if the CRT emission is low. A 
quick test is locate the low-ohm CRT filament resistor that supplies the 
6.3 volts to the tube. Jumper it.This will increase the CRT filament, 
not unlike the old "Boosters" did. If the picture returns, weak CRT. You 
can't keep that jumper there long term, as the CRT will just burn itself 
out soon.
