Subject: [TechAssist] Toshiba 20A42, Dead with two shorted rectifiers

This set seems to have taken a lightning hit, two rectifiers and the fuse were
gone.

Now it won't come up all the way, it seems that high voltage might be starting,
barely, but then
everything is quiet. B+ voltage doesn't seem right, it's sitting at 165 when
the set is off, when the set
is turned on, it takes on different random values, 105 one time, 115 the next,
110 the next time. The B+
adjust pot has no affect. Other PS secondary voltages seem to be present, the
power led is on when the set
is on. I have a schematic, but some of the voltages listed there seem wrong, as
though they were measured
from the wrong reference ground.

The set is not worth doing much to, but if someone has any ideas that would be
appreciated. Thanks
