To replace a 2SC4927 you can use original or 2SC5148 or better yet 2SC5426. I definenitly would be careful about any other sub or it will overheat. The C in the number indicates a higher frequency rating than a 2SDxxxx. If you order directly from Sony you can be sure of it. If you order from a distributor (Andrews, for instance) with the Sony part number, it will come in a "plain wrapper" so it may not be original Sony. We use "generic" outputs but we are careful not to get "knockoffs". John.
