[TechAssist] Spoke to Doug this afternoon

Out of the blue, the phone rang. There was a southern voice at the other
end. A certainVirginian we all know.
Doug Keller. We talked for about 20 minutes. he was very alert and
sounded quite normal. I asked if he was still medicated for pain and he
was, but I would have never noticed it. He has a wonderful sense of
humor.We shared our experiences and laughed a little. I think he will do
OK in the long run. His right hand they reattached feels like he hit the
"funny bone" in his elbow. The tingling,etc thru his hand and arm. We
agreed this is a good sign, as it means blood flow and nerves are
mending. I will call him later on. We spoke about how our wives had to
help us thru these things(I had back issues/surgery about 10 yrs ago)
Doug said with a smile in his voice, he told Sandy "See, I told you I
was special"... Sandy said "Well,Doug theres a difference between
"special" and "touched".
I'm glad they can be that way. Me and my wife kid like that,too. ..I
think she's kidding...Hmmm.
;-)
He asked us to remember him in our prayers. he's a brave guy who still
needs us.
Let's keep them both in our thoughts, prayers, and gifts.
