I AM WORKING ON ONE NOW. USE ONLY SONY PARTS..OTHERS WILL BLOW IN A SHORT
AMOUNT OF TIME AND MAY TAKE OTHER COMPONENTS WITH THEM.IT HAPPENED AND NOW

Q601 & 602 IS 8-729-019-51{REPLACE BOTH IF ONE}
R644 1-212-379-11
IC610 8-759-150-61
IC602 8-759-805-37
HORIZ OUT 8-729-016-32

Set came in dead.  Q601 & Q602 shorted, fuse F602 and R647 (2.2 ohms)
open.

Replaced all listed parts and brought up on variac.  Picture folded in
middle and pulled in on sides.  The regs (Q601/Q602) run very hot
quickly.  Shut it down.  Q613 & D622 are good.  Tried another set of regs
(2SC4664) with no change in symptom.

What am I missing?  This is the second time I have seen this.  Didn't fix
the first one.
