This one has a mind to be stubbron. Replaced IC601, the HOT, and the 
fusable. IC601 (MX0841) and  C609 promptly exploded. (Very litteraly) the 
HOT and the fusable resistor are still fine after replacement. This MX came 
from MAT weight, markings and package were consistant with the original, 
anyone had problems with these? (needed a few things they had so thew it in 
with order)......

Don't forget to look for the open fusible resistor in the power supply as
well. The most common causes for HOT failure are solder connections on HDT,
defective flyback, arcing CRT, and there is usually a small electrolytic
(0.47mfd/50V) in the horizontal driver circuit that I always replace on this
vintage.
