[TechAssist] Sony KV32S12 32" TV video distorted, smear?

This is hard to describe. The colors were very vivid, so I turned the
color off thru the menu, left with a B&W picture. Without the color I
can see the video is the problem.Like an outline around images, varies
with the intensity of the picture. Almost a smear. I fed a line input in
video one (RCA jack), still the same.
However when I feed the video into the S-Video input, it's good.
So S-video is the only good input. I don't have the schemo on this
model. Obviously I am bypassing the comb filter somewhere.
Need assistance.
